This apartment boasts excellent views and location, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beach in contact with nature. Situated in the welcoming fishing village of Santa Luzia, in the municipality of Tavira, with a rich and varied gastronomy where fresh fish, octopus, and seafood predominate.
Located 600 meters from the boat to Terra Estreita beach (Santa Luzia, available from May to October), just over 1 km from Barril Beach and less than 4 km from Tavira.

The apartment has a balcony with a fantastic view over the Ria Formosa, where you can enjoy a meal and breathe in the scent of the estuary, blending with the sea breeze and surrounding vegetation. It is a unique aroma, and experiencing it is a must.
If you want to put a little more effort into dinner preparations, you can enjoy the impeccable view from the apartment’s annex, on the building’s rooftop, overlooking both the sea and the estuary of the Ria Formosa. You can savor a good wine, paired with excellent grilled fish caught by the village fishermen. There is a good variety of fish that you can order from the Tridoce “Vergílio” or Snack-Bar Martins restaurants. Alternatively, you may choose the delicious tapas at Sem Jeito restaurant.
Terra Estreita Beach (available from May to October) is located right in the estuary of the Ria Formosa, offering a welcoming atmosphere and preserved nature. To get there, you will enjoy a pleasant boat crossing across the Ria. At the end of the day, do not miss a unique sunset, where the orange hue melts along the Ria, offering a truly exceptional light show.
During your stay, a visit to Barril Beach is a must. To get there, you have just over one kilometre to walk, passing along the village waterfront and a pleasant cycle path beside the Ria Formosa, until you reach a small train that will take you inland through the estuary to Barril Beach. It is an unforgettable trip, and on the way back you should try doing it on foot. You will be amazed by the stunning landscape photos. Do not miss a visit to the anchor cemetery at Barril Beach and a relaxing coffee on the beach terrace. At the end of the day, watch the moonrise on the beach, with its generous size, and the magnificent sunset over the Ria, with its unique orange tone.
In the village, you can rent bicycles at affordable prices, including child seats (with references available in the apartment for consultation).

If you are a sports enthusiast, you will find several options available, from jogging or cycling along the waterfront and the cycle path by the Ria, to golf, with a packed calendar of tournaments organized by Tavira Golf Club (www.benamorgolf.com) 8.5 km from the apartment, or sailing and canoeing at Tavira Nautical Club (www.nauticotavira.pt), less than 5 km from the apartment.
At the end of the day, after a refreshing hot shower and dinner, enjoy a gin and tonic at PUB Meia Pipa in Santa Luzia, with an extensive gin and wine list, and live music.
Other things to note
Anyone who thinks Santa Luzia offers only sun and beach is mistaken, because in winter the village becomes more authentic, inhabited almost exclusively by local people, who mostly live from the income generated by nature, from the sea and the estuary.
It is the right time to enjoy the village’s rich and varied gastronomy, where octopus, seafood, and fresh fish predominate, and you should finish the meal with a typical regional dessert. The restaurants are open, with no waiting lines, the service is more attentive, and the fish and seafood are fresher and tastier than ever!
